Meet Dr. Shane

Dr. Shane Hodson was born and raised in North Miami Beach. Dr. Shane first became interested in orthodontics in fourth grade when his grandfather, Dr. Malcolm Meister, brought him to his practice on “Take Your Child To Work Day”. He realized that an orthodontist not only improves the alignment of teeth, but also enhances the patient’s facial appearance and self-confidence. Dr. Shane has always enjoyed working with kids, working as a camp counselor, life guard, and tutor throughout high school and college.

Dr. Shane graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry. He earned his doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, and specialized in orthodontics at Nova Southeastern University. During his residency, he focused on the effectiveness of different treatment techniques while completing his masters thesis and received his Master of Science degree.

Dr. Shane enjoys serving his community, volunteering his time with Give Kids a Smile and other local groups. He is a current member of the American Associate of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, Florida Association of Orthodontics as well as the Florida Dental Association and the South Florida District Dental Association.

Outside of the office, Dr. Shane enjoys watching sports, especially the Miami Dolphins. Dr. Shane also enjoys playing golf, tennis, binging TV series, and spending time with his family.
